PHRYGIA. Eucarpeia. Pseudo-autonomous issue, time of Antoninus Pius, 138-161. (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.93 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate G. Klaudios Flakkos, c. 147-161. EΥΚΑΡΠEΩΝ Draped bust of youthful Dionysus to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. EΠΙ Γ ΚΛ ΦΛΑΚΚΟV Poseidon standing left, holding uncertain object in right hand and trident around which a dolphin twisting downwards in left. BMC 7-8. RPC IV.2 Online temp. 1984. Well-centered and struck, with a greyish-black patina. Very fine.
