BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Demetrios I Aniketos, circa 200-185 BC. Dichalkon (Copper, 22 mm, 7.95 g, 12 h). Bearded bust of Herakles right, with his lion's skin around his neck and his club over his shoulder. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ Artemis, radiate and wearing hunting costume standing facing, holding bow in her left hand and, with her left, drawing arrow from her quiver over her shoulder; in left below, monogram of KP. Bopearachchi 4D. HGC 12, 68. MIG 109d. SNG ANS 205. With an attractive reddish copper patina. Some cleaning marks, otherwise, very fine.
