SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damascus. Philip I, 244-249. (Bronze, 28.5 mm, 20.40 g, 1 h). IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right. Rev. COL DAMA METRO Turreted and draped bust of Tyche to right within tetrastyle shrine, raised base decorated with ram running right; two either side, female figure (Victory?) holding temple. BMC -. De Saulcy -, but cf. Otacilia Severa 4. RPC VIII online, unassigned ID 26777. SNG Righetti 2155. Rare - just five specimens noted in the RPC. Green patina. Minor roughness, otherwise, good fine.
