CAPPADOCIA, Caesaraea-Eusebia. Septimius Severus, 193-211. Didrachm (Silver, 24mm, 7.38 g 12), year 13 = 205. AY K Λ CЄΠ CЄOYHPOC Laureate head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. MHTPOΠΟΛ KAICAPIAC / ЄTOYC IΓ Mount Argaeus; on summit, nude figure holding globe and scepter. Sydenham, Caesarea 396 var. (different denomination). Rare. Both sides very sharply struck and extraordinarily attractive. Nicely toned and with a particularly elegant portrait. Good very fine.
