Anthemius, 467-472. Tremissis (Gold, 13 mm, 1.32 g, 7 h), uncertain mint in Italy. D N ANTHMIVS VG (sic!) Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Anthemius to right. Rev. COMOB Cross within wreath tied below and above. Cohen 21. Lacam 145. RIC 2906. A remarkably crudely made coin, even for the issues of the Italian mists of the later 5th century. Lightly struck from crude dies, otherwise, extremely fine.
