SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Chalkis ad Libanon. Cleopatra VII of Egypt, 36-30 BC. AE (Bronze, 23 mm, 8.13 g, 12 h), with Mark Antony, years ΚΑ (21) and ζ (6) = 32/1. BACIΛICCAC KΛЄOΠATPAC Draped bust of Cleopatra to right, wearing stephane. Rev. ЄTOYC KA TOY KAI ς ΘЄA[C NЄωTEPAC] Bare head of Antony to right. Rouvier 440 (Berytus). RPC 47711. SNG Munich 1006. SNG Copenhagen 382. Svoronos 1887. A very attractive example, with a fine green-black patina and a splendid bust of Cleopatra, all on a broad flan. Struck slightly off-center and with some striking flatness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
