CILICIA. Nagidos. Tiribazos, satrap of Lydia, 388-380 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 9.86 g, 9 h). Bearded head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. A Head of Tiribazos to right, with beard and mustache wearing a kyrbasia bound with a taenia. Unknown and unpublished except from its prior auction appearance. For the head of Dionysos, see SNG Paris 5 (Nagidos). An elegant coin with impressive heads and a most attractive toning. Extremely fine.
