SICILY. Katane. Circa 450-430 BC. Litra (Silver, 12 mm, 0.86 g, 2 h). Bald and bearded head of Silenos to right. Rev. KAT-ANE Thunderbolt with wings and volutes above; at the middle, gorytos. Auctiones 29, 12 June 2003, 509 (same dies). Cf. Myron 23 and SNG ANS 1238. Attractive and struck in good silver. Very fine.

SICILY. Katane. Circa 2nd-1st century BC. (Bronze, 20 mm, 7.88 g, 12 h). ΚΑΤΑΝΑΙΩΝ Laureate head of Zeus-Ammon to right. Rev. Dikaiosyne standing facing, head left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopia in her left; three monograms across the fields. BAR issue 13. CNS 17. HGC 2, 624. SNG ANS 1298-1301. Well struck with a dark green patina; rare and with unusual iconography. Very fine.
