CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 240-228 BC. Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 6.51 g, 3 h), struck under the magistrate Olympis. Cuirassed warrior, brandishing spear in his right hand and holding the reins in his left, riding horse galloping to right; in field to left, wreath; below horse, OΛYMΠIΣ. Rev. Τ-ΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding kantharos in his right hand, cornucopia in his left; in field to right, tripod. HN III 1055. Vlasto 942-3. Well struck. Spotty toning, otherwise, about extremely fine.
