CELTIC, Gaul. Sequani. Circa 70-40 BC. Unit (Potin, 19 mm, 5.09 g, 3 h). Celticized head with headband to left. Rev. Horned animal with S-shaped tail advancing left. Allen 323-327. Castelin 777-818. Gallia 52, A 4, 1ff. Gäumann 68. LT 5368. An attractive piece with a lovely dark green patina. Slight roughness on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the Karl Collection, UBS 77, 9 September 2008, 181, originally acquired from a south German dealer on 2001.
