[TAPANTINΩN] Owl with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt, head facing; to right, [ΣΩ]. HN III 1018. SNG ANS 1317-1319. Vlasto 1068-1074. Uniform dark find patina. A couple of small edge chips on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

Nude rider on horse prancing to right, holding round shield and two lances with his left hand and striking downwards with a spear held in his upraised right; below, ΦIΛΙ. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to left, holding a dolphin on his outstretched right arm and a spindle over his left shoulder with his left hand; in field to left, ΦI; behind, ivy leaf; below, waves. Fischer-Bossert Group 79, 1093 (V410/R843). HN III 934. Vlasto 592 (same obverse die). Well centered and good strike. Light horn silver around the devices, otherwise, very fine.
