EUBOIA. Histiaia. 4th-3rd centuries BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 13 mm, 2.28 g, 6 h). Head of the Nymph Histiaia to right, wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΙΣΤΙ Head and neck of bull to right, the head turned slightly towards the viewer; grape vines in background. BCD Euboia 513-520. Well-centered and with a very ornate reverse; brown patina with attractive light earthen highlights. Minor porosity, otherwise, very fine.

ATTICA. Athens. 510/500 - 480 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 17.49 g, 8 h). Archaic head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet and disk earring. Rev. AΘE Owl standing to right, head facing; olive sprig behind. HGC 4, 1591. Seltman groups E-F. Very rare early "Owl". Flat area on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

ATTICA. Athens. Circa 460-455 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.15 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and palmette, round earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right with head facing; to left, crescent and olive sprig; all within incuse square. Starr Group V. Cf. Svoronos pl. 9, 7 ff. A wonderful, fresh example, very well-centered, with much original luster and with a wonderful owl. Obverse slightly double-struck and with a flan fault on reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
