KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. (Bronze, 17 mm, 5.83 g, 9 h), uncertain mint in Macedon. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY between bow in bowcase and club; below, one-handled cup to left. Cf. Price 325 (direction of bow in bowcase). Excellent dark green patina with a hint of earthen highlighting on the reverse. About extremely fine.
