Tzamalis 68 (as uncertain Thraco-Macedonian). Quite rare and desirable. Well-centered and toned. Light porosity, otherwise, nearly very fine.

MACEDON. Phagres. Circa 450 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.94 g, 5 h). Lion seated to left, his head turned back to right. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square of mill sail form. Unpublished but cf. H. Bloesch, Die Löwen von Skione, SNR 38 (1957), p. 10 and pl. 1, 12 (lion to right). Some roughness mainly on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

An extremely rare coin from an extremely rare northern Greek mint. Some uncleaned deposits and cleaning marks, otherwise, good very fine.
