KINGS OF MACEDON. Antigonos II Gonatas, 277/6-239 BC. Unit (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.13 g, 11 h), uncertain Macedonian mint. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet. Rev. B - A Pan erecting trophy to right; between his legs, monogram of ΑΝΤ(igonos); to outer left, Macedonian helmet; to outer right, Φ. Furtwängler, Beobachtungen, Group 11. HGC 3, 1049. Dark green patina. Flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
