Double-headed eagle with wings displayed; all within floral quadrilobe; name and titles of Nasir al-Din Mahmud within petals of quadrilobe; continuation of name in outer margin. Rev. Name and title of Ayyubid overlord in two lines; all within hexagram; mint formula and AH date in angles of hexagram; name and titles of Abbasid caliph in outer margins. Album 1823.3. S&S Type 18. Dirham (Bronze, 30 mm, 11.70 g, 6 h), imitating coins of Constantine I "the Great", unlisted mint, possibly Mardin. Diademed head to right, looking upward, within pellet quadrate border; around, Arabic inscription stating the ancestors of Qutb al-Din Il-Ghazi II. Rev. Arabic inscription in five lines, stating the name and titles of Qutb al-Din Il-Ghazi II. Album 1828.1. S&S Type 31.1. Dark green patina. Good very fine.
