KINGS OF THRACE, Odrysian. Teres II, circa 351-342/1 BC. (Bronze, 22 mm, 14.70 g, 3 h), struck under the magistrate Kasignakios. T-H-PE-Ω Labrys. Rev. [Ε]ΠΙ-ΚΑ[ΣIΓΝΑ-ΚΙΟΣ] Vine with five bunches of grapes, all within linear square. HGC 3,2, 1712. Greenish-brown patina. Very fine.

From the Vineyard Collection, acquired from Pegasi on 5 December 1999.

The magistrate Kasignakios is also known from the bronze coins of the previous Odrysian King, Amadokos II.
