Bust of Irene facing, wearing crown with pinnacles and pendilia and loros, holding a cross on globe in her right hand and a cross-tipped scepter in her left. Rev. Half bust of Constantine VI over horizontal bar, wearing crown with cross and chlamys, and holding globus cruciger in his right hand and anexikakia in his left; below bar, large M between X - N and beneath, A. DOC 7. SB 1598. Rare. A lovely piece with a fine chocolate patina. Very fine.

Rev. bASILIOS ET COҺSTAҺT' AЧGG b' Crowned facing busts of Basil, on the left, with short beard and wearing a loros, and Constantine, on the right, beardless and wearing a chlamys; holding between them in their right hands, a long patriarchal cross. DOC 2c. Füeg 3.D.2. SB 1704. A wonderful example, very sharply struck in high relief. Minor scuffs, otherwise, good very fine.
