Crowned and draped figures of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine standing facing, each holding globus cruciger in right hand; above and between, cross. Rev. A/N/N/O - ςI / B/SЄLISЧ Large M; above, Christogram. DOC 181b. MIB 193. SB 845. Dark green patina. Very fine.



The mint of Seleucia Isauriae was a short-lived mint established to provide coin for Heraclius' troops during his war with Sasanid Persia. In 617, the mint closed, transferring to Isaura.
