A well-struck, carefully centered, sharp and clear denarius with a most attractive portrait of Alexander Severus. Nearly extremely fine.



This coin is from Severus Alexander's final dated issue, and was minted shortly before he was murdered by his soldiers while campaigning along the Rhine frontier.
