Miliaresion (Silver, 21.5 mm, 2.96 g, 6 h), Constantinople. +IhSUS XRI-STUS NICA✱ Cross potent, crosslet, on globe and two steps; at the center, medallion of four lobes bearing a bearded facing bust of Nikephorus Phocas flanked by N-C/I-F; all within a triple border with eight equally spaced pellets. Rev. + NICHF,/ ЄҺ X'ω AVTO/CRAT, ЄVSЄЬ'/ ЬASILЄVS/ RωMAIω' in five lines, within triple border adorned with 8 equally spaced pellets. DOC 6. SB 1781. Rare, well-centered and sharp. Bang on the obverse at 2h, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

Rev. +ҺICHF' / EҺ ΘEΩ bA/SILEVS Rω/MAIΩҺ in four lines. DOC 7. SB 1783. A clear and relatively scarce example. Very fine.
