THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Uncertain. Early 5th century BC. Hekte or Sixth Stater (Silver, 11.5 mm, 1.82 g, 6 h). Forepart of bridled horse running to right. Rev. Ram kneeling to right, his head turned back to left. SNG ANS 995. Tzamalis 47. Same dies as CNG e-auction 352, 2015, 53. Very rare and unusual; sharply struck from unusually well engraved dies. Slightly porous, otherwise, good very fine.

HGC 3.1, 373. SNG ANS 71 (but of later style). Very rare, especially in this denomination and of such fine archaic style. Struck on an uneven flan with porous surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
