Domitia, Augusta, 82-96. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 25.5 mm, 10.92 g, 6 h), Struck under Domitian, uncertain mint in western Asia Minor, possibly Ephesus, c. 82. DOMITIA AVGVSTA Draped bust of Domitia to right. Rev. VENVS AVG Venus, half draped from below the waist, turned to the right, holding a helmet in her right hand, a transverse scepter in her left and with her left elbow propped on the top of a low column behind her. BMCRE 256-7. RIC² 847 (Domitian). RPC 870. SNG von Aulock 6590-1. Rare type. Porous and with remains of corrosion, otherwise, nearly very fine.
