Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.65 g, 7 h), uncertain Iberian mint, possibly Colonia Patricia, c. 19 BC. AVGVSTVS CAESAR Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. IOVIS • TON Jupiter standing to left within hexastyle temple, holding thunderbolt and scepter. BMC -. Cohen 185. RIC² 65. Same obverse die as UBS 78, 2008, 1305 and same dies as CNG 51, 1999, 1158. Extremely rare variety with the legend in the exergue and the portrait to left. Very fine.
