PHRYGIA. Hierapolis. Germanicus and Drusus, as Caesars, 15 BC-AD 19, and AD 19-23, respectively. 1/3 Assarion (Bronze, 14 mm, 3.09 g, 12 h), struck under Tiberius. ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΟϹ Laureate head of Germanicus to right. Rev. ΔΡΟΥCΟC ΙΕΡΑΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ Bare head of Drusus to right. BMC 111 = RPC I 2968 ((same dies). Extremely rare, only a single example was known to the RPC: this is now the third known example. Nearly very fine.
