THRACE. Byzantion. Circa 120-110 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 38 mm, 16.70 g, 11 h), Struck in the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of Alexander III to right, wearing horn of Ammon behind his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left on throne, holding Nike in her outstretched right hand and spear in her left; below throne, ΒΥ and ornamental trident; to left, monogram of AΦP. Callataÿ -. Muller -. Same obverse die as Obolos 8, (2017) 166. A rare variety struck on a broad flan. Good very fine.

THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 386-338 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 7.5 mm, 2.15 g). Forepart of a lion to right, his head turned back to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with two raised and two sunken squares; in one of the sunken squares, grape bunch; in the other, pellet. HGC 3, 1437. McClean 4079. Toned. Very fine.

THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 386-309 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 11 mm, 1.22 g, 11 h). Diademed head of Pan to right. Rev. XEP/PO Barley grain. Apparently unpublished in the standard references, but cf. SNG Copenhagen 844-9 and SNG Evelpides 1045-1048 for the same reverse type with differing obverses. Very rare. Dark green patina. Very fine.
