MESOPOTAMIA. Adiabene. Natounia, Circa 2nd-1st century BC. (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.07 g, 1 h). Radiate and diademed male head (Helios-Shamash?) to right. Rev. Rider on camelback to right, holding a short staff in his right hand; all within wreath border. CSE II 846. Hoover, Natounia, Series 1, 1 (same dies). Seyrig, Trésor 13a. Very rare. Glossy dark green patina. With considerable traces of overstriking on the obverse (probably on an earlier Seleukid issue), otherwise, very fine.
