CILICIA. Soloi. Circa 440-410 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 3.56 g, 9 h), c. 430-420. Amazon, wearing a pointed bonnet, with drapery around her waist and at least one breast bare, kneeling to left, holding her bow with both hands; at her waist, gorytos. Rev. Σ-Ο Large and plump bunch of grapes within border of dots in an incuse square. SNG France 126 (same dies). SNG Levante -. Traité II 533. Clear and well-struck; a very rare and unusual variety. Very fine.

In contrary with the quite common staters of Soloi, tetrobols of this period are by far scarcer. This is a better example from this hard-to-find series.
