CARIA. Kaunos. Circa 2nd century BC. (Bronze, 15 mm, 2.36 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Mne.... Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right. Rev. K-AY / MN-H Nude Ephebe (Kaunos?) advancing to right, with spear on his left shoulder; serpent entwined around then lower end of the spear. Imhoof-Blumer, KM 2. Karl 183 var (arrangement of legend). SNG von Aulock, 8103 var (different magistrate). Dark patina. Very fine.

CARIA. Knidos. Circa 500 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 11.5 mm, 1.77 g, 7 h), Milesian standard. Head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Draped bust of Aphrodite to right, wearing pearl necklace; upper right, floral ornament; to right, before chin, lotus; all in a doted border within an incuse square. Cahn 18 (V6/R17, same dies). Very rare. With a reverse of a rude, archaic, local style. Some surface roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
