TROAS. Dardanos. 4th century BC. Triobol (Silver, 13 mm, 2.22 g, 11 h), struck under the magistrate Glauketes. Horseman riding to right. Rev. ΔΑΡ ΓΛΑΥΚΕΤΗΣ Cock standing to right; corn ear to outer right. BMC 2. SNG München 174. Some uncleaned deposits, otherwise, very fine.

Ex Gorny & Mosch 255, 10 March 2018, 3179.

A particularly desirable coin for collectors of galliformes on coinage. At one point the owners of KFC had planned to build up a major assemblage of such coins, but they seem to have canceled the plans and supposedly sold the collection to Perdue Farms. Once cleaned this would be a perfect coin for them.
