Histamenon (Gold, 26 mm, 4.36 g, 6 h), Constantinople. +IhS XIS REX REGNANTIhm Christ, nimbate, seated facing on straight-backed throne, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. Constantine standing facing, wearing crown and loros, holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. DOC 1a. SB 1847. Attractive and well struck. Slightly off center, but on a broad flan, otherwise, extremely fine.
