MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 12.22 g, 12 h), c. 92-88. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of ΠEPΓ; to right, serpent-entwined staff of Asclepius; between snakes' heads, EY above monogram of ΠPYT. Kleiner, Hoard 33. SNG Paris 1736-7. Extremely sharp but with a gash on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
