KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 14.28 g, 1 h), Pella, 342/1-337/6. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Nude jockey, holding long palm branch in his right hand, riding horse prancing to right; below horse, horizontal thunderbolt; in exergue, Ν. Le Rider 230. A very attractive and toned example. Struck from a very slightly worn obverse die and reverse slightly off-center, otherwise, good very fine.
