Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing a triple-crested Attic helmet, adorned with Pegasos and a long tendril on the bowl, and with four horse protomes on the visor and a serpent on the raised ear guard, and a pendant earring . Rev. Α-ΘΕ /ΓΛ/ΑΥ -ΕΧΕ Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, radiate and draped facing bust of Helios; on the amphora, K (= 10th month); to left, in faint letters, HP (= contractor’s initials); all within olive wreath. Thompson 305. Bright and attractive. About extremely fine.
