CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. Early 1st century BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 10 mm, 1.86 g). Eagle's head to right. Rev. Three pellets within a torque with a pellet at each end. Dembski -. Flesche 311. Karl -. Leu 65, 1996, 4 (there unique and unpublished). An extremely rare variety with the eagle head to right. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, very fine.

Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Horse galloping to left; above, wheel. Castelin 1282. Dembski 1110-1. A late example in the series. Very fine.
