Michael VII Ducas, 1071-1078. Histamenon (Gold, 27mm, 4.47 g 6), Constantinople. Christ, with decorated nimbus, enthroned facing, raising his right hand in benediction and holding Book of Gospels in his left; in field, IC - XC. Rev. +MIX ΔHΛ RACIΛOΔ Half figure of Michael facing, wearing loros and crown with cross and pendilia and holding labarum and globe surmounted by pelleted cross. DOC 1. SB 1869. Obverse very slightly double-struck, but with a superb and sharp reverse. Extremely fine.
