BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 400-325 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 20.5 mm, 7.82 g, 4 h). Head of Hera Lakinia three-quarters facing, turned slightly to the right, wearing stephane ornamented with palmette flanked by griffins and pearl necklace; to right, Δ. Rev. KPOT Youthful Herakles seated to left on a rock draped with his lion's skin, holding a one-handled cup in his right hand and resting his left on lion's skin; above, club and bow over MΔ; to left, tripod. HN Italy 2164. SNG ANS 382. A lustrous coin, struck on good silver. Scratch on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.

Infant Herakles (Herakliskos) seated facing, his head turned to left, strangling two snakes, holding one in each hand; below, graffito of MΙΣΛI . HN III 2157. SNG ANS 384-8. Toned. Very fine.
