CAMPANIA. Neapolis. Circa 300-280 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 20.5 mm, 7.20 g, 8 h). Diademed head of nymph to left, wearing triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; behind neck, thyrsos. Rev. NEOΠOΛITΩN Man-headed bull walking to right; above, Nike flying right, placing wreath on bull's head; below, IΣ. HN III 586. Sambon 519. SNG ANS 409. A carefully centered and nicely toned example. Very fine.
