MYSIA. Plakia. 4th century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 11.5 mm, 1.40 g, 11 h). Turreted head of the Tyche of Plakia to right. Rev. ΠΛAKIA Lion standing right on grain ear, devouring its prey. SNG Copenhagen 545. SNG France 2378-82. Glossy green surfaces; exceptional condition for type. Possibly overstruck and with heavy traces of corrosion on both sides, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

ΦΙΛΕΤΑΙΡΟΥ Athena enthroned left, resting left elbow on shield to right, and crowning dynastic name with a wreath held in her right hand; spear in background; to outer left, ivy leaf upwards; in inner left, Α; to right, bow. SNG France 1610. SNG von Aulock 1356. Westermark Group IV. An impressive piece struck in high relief and with a nice toning and a portrait of fine style. Light scratch on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
