MΑΛΙΕ-ΩΝ Amphora with tall handles; above, ivy leaf; to right, prochous with handle to right. BCD II 124. Georgiou, Mint 9. HGC 4, 105 (Malians). SNG Lockett 1551. Attractive and clear. Very fine.

THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 356-342 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 5.90 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing, turned slightly to the left, wearing ampyx, pendant earring, and simple necklace. Rev. ΛΑΡΙΣ-ΑΙΩΝ Horse to right, preparing to roll over. BCD II 315 (same dies). HGC 4, 453. Toned and most attractive, well-struck and centered. struck from one of the very finest style obverse dies used for drachmas. Slightly porous surfaces as usual, otherwise, good very fine.

THESSALY. Phalanna. Circa 350 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 14.5 mm, 2.63 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΑΛΑΝ Head of nymph right, with hair in sakkos. BCD II 575.2. Very rare and historically important issue, struck after 352 BC to celebrate Philip' s victory of the Crocus Fields. Very fine.
