KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Hemiobol (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.28 g, 3 h), uncertain mint in Asia Minor, c. 323-310. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion’s skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ Club and bow in bowcase; below race torch; above, Α. Price 2800. An attractive piece with a dark green patina; unusual variant lacking the name of the king. Good very fine.
