SICILY. Naxos. Circa 510-493 BC. Litra (Silver, 11.5 mm, 0.94 g, 6 h). Head of bearded Dionysos to left. Rev. NAXION Bunch of grapes within a linear border enclosed within a border of dots. Cahn 50 (V36/R42). HGC 2, 968. Toned. Very rare late-Archaic type. Rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
