AKARNANIA, Federal Coinage (Akarnanian Confederacy). Leukas. 3rd century BC. (Bronze, 23 mm, 4.90 g, 12 h), Agetor. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΓHTΩP Head of river-god Achelöos to right. BCD Akarnania 39.8. McClean 5394. Nicely centered. Slightly weakly struck and with some roughness, otherwise, nearly very fine.

AKARNANIA. Medeion. Circa 350-300 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15 mm, 2.71 g, 9 h), Phi.... Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. ME ΦI Owl standing to right, head facing. BCD Akarnania 342.2 var. (owl to left). HGC 4, 892. Scarce with the owl to right, and with an attractive light green patina. Very fine.
