KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.90 g, 12 h), struck posthumously under Attalos I, Pergamon, c. 215-200. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter in his left; below eagle, fly. Kleiner, Alexander IV. Price 1476. Toned. Scratches on the obverse and die flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
