Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a griffin on the bowl, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing left with her wings spread, holding laurel wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; below wing to left, monogram within wreath; to outer left, monogram of MI. Price 3749. SC 81.3. A splendid, well centered, lustrous piece struck on a broad flan. Bang on the reverse edge and nimor scratch on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
