KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. (Bronze, 14 mm, 3.21 g), struck posthumously, uncertain mint in Asia Minor, after 323 BC. Macedonian shield ornamented with five linear crescents around the edge and a pellet at the center. Rev. K Bow-case and club; grain ear to right. AMNG I 207-8 (Kallatis). Liampi 160-2. Chocolate patina and pleasing. Struck on a tight flan, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
