Anastasius I, 491-518. Solidus (Gold, 19mm, 4.50 g 6), Constantinople, 507-518. DN ANASTA - SIVS PP AVC Diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Anastasius 3/4 facing to right, holding spear in his right hand and with shield over his left shoulder; but diadem lacking ties fluttering to left. Rev. VICTORI - A AVCCCA / CONOB Victory standing left, holding long staff topped by an inverted Christogram; to left, star. DOC 6 var. MIBE 6 var. S 4 var. A very rare type, very well struck. Good extremely fine.

It is quite curious that coins of this type with officina A are officially unpublished - other examples have appeared as recently as the Heritage sale of September 2014, but with no note about the fact that the A officina is unknown.
