THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 500 BC. Hekte or Sixth Stater (Silver, 12 mm, 2.80 g). Rider to right, holding reigns with his right hand and spears (?) with his left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG ANS 1014. Van Alfen, Chersonese, 16 (O1/R4). Extremely rare early issue from Chersonesos. Very fine.

THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 386-309 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 12 mm, 1.43 g, 7 h). Head of Artemis facing slightly turned to right. Rev. XEP/PO Barley grain; below, palm branch. Apparently unpublished in the standard references, but see Classical Numismatic Group 199E, 19 November 2008, 199. Rare. Very fine.

ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Samothrace. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.10 g, 1 h), struck under magistrate Python. Bust of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΣΑΜΟ ΠΥΘΟ Kybele seated to left, holding phiale and long scepter. BMC 4. HGC 6, 322. SNG Copenhagen 999. A well centered example, with a deep green patina. Uncleaned deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

MACEDON. Aige in Pallene. Circa 500-480 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13 mm, 3.03 g). Forepart of goat crouching to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Apparently unpublished in the standard references. Cf. Bank Leu 71 (1997), 121 . Extremely rare and nicely toned. Very fine.

MACEDON. Thessalonica. After 148 BC. (Bronze, 18.5 mm, 8.58 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Zeus right. Rev. ΘE-Σ/ΣA-ΛO/NI-KHΣ Two goats contending. BMC 8. HGC 3, 726. SNG ANS 775. Touratsoglou, Macedonia 2. Nicely centered and with a fine dark green patina. Very rare type, often mixed with the common issue of Amphipolis with the same types. One of the best examples of this issue. Very fine.

ΦAPKAΔO-NION Athena standing left, holding spear in her right hand and resting her left on her waist; to right, shield. BCD II 619.1. HGC 4, 298. Among the best known examples. A beautiful little gem. Good very fine.
