SELEUKID KINGS. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Obol (Silver, 9.5 mm, 0.68 g, 6 h), In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon, Ekbatana, circa 311-295/81 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, monograms, horizontal anchor and forepart of horse grazing to left; beneath throne, ΣΩ. Price 3936. SC 216.9. Very rare. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.
