Domitian had a close connection to Jupiter Conservator. In the year 69 Domitian was in Rome when Vitellius abdicated. However, his followers did not agree and trapped several supporters of Vespasian on the Capitol - among them: Domitian. He managed a lucky escape disguised as a priest of Isis and was grateful to Jupiter Conservator ever after.
